Bob is certified in North Carolina (Certificate #15791) and South Carolina (Certificate #2325). He is the corporate president of Faulkner and Thompson, P.A. and is the partner in charge of the firm's audit, assurance and consulting services. He assists our clients with audit, review and compilation engagements, insolvency accounting, forensic accounting, litigation support, acquisitions and divestitures, business valuations, strategic and corporate tax planning, budgeting and forecasting. 

Bob has over 25 years of auditing experience serving businesses in both the public and private sectors. His experience covers a wide variety of manufacturing, distribution and service industries. Other services he has provided our clients include strategic business planning, profit improvement, tax planning and forecasting.

Bob also has extensive experience with bankruptcy and insolvency accounting. He assisted clients with restructuring and reporting services while reorganizing and has assisted U.S. Panel Trustees and attorneys within the North Carolina and South Carolina Bankruptcy Courts. His professional experience in this area covers a variety of issues including, but not limited to, corporate restructuring and reorganization, asset recovery, forensic accounting, liquidation analysis, tax related issues in bankruptcy and fraudulent conveyances.

Mr. Faulkner has also worked with troubled businesses outside of bankruptcy. During March 2000, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors announced Mr. Faulkner’s certification as a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).

  Bob has extensive experience in the field of business valuations. In November, 1995, he received the AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement recognizing his ongoing educational efforts in the field of business valuations. Mr. Faulkner is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, further recognizing his experience and education in this field. 

He has performed a broad range of valuations including the following types: gift tax appraisals, estate tax appraisals, business and stock valuations, litigation support appraisals, liquidation analysis, merger and acquisition appraisals, marital dissolution appraisals and appraisal reviews.
